Tardieu-Laurent Chateauneuf-du-Pape Vieilles Vignes 2019 - Those gnarly Grenache vines up to 80 years old lend strength and complexity to this wine.  85% Grenache with the rest Syrah and a drop of Cinsault, the 2019 cuts a swath across the palate of ripe raspberry, four fruits preserves, fig, black pepper and incense.  Layered and complex, this is dynamite CdP and just gorgeous wine period...enjoy now through 2033. 2. Domain Berthaut-Gerbet Fixin Clos 2020 - Domaine Berthaut has a history that dates back to the mid-1800's when Francois Berthaut first began the family grape-growingbusiness. Following World War II, they began bottling their own wine and have steadily and systematically become one of Burgundy's great domains. Now Amelie Berthaut is making wines of great precision and clarity and perhaps the best example of this is her fleshy and deep Fixin Clos 2020. No matter the vintage, Clos always has a ripe, black fruit aromatic signature. This is logical since it is Amelie's earliest ripening Fixin, and the one to achieve the highest maturity. But the nose also has lift from wonderful floral aromas.  Les Crais is not rustic. But its lush and rewarding mouthfeel, and structure, is very much what you expect from the northern Cote de Nuits. Black cherry, raspberry, chalk, confiture notes abound, this is superb Pinot Noir to enjoy now through 2034. 3. Chateau Grange Neuve Pomerol 2018 - This is a rich, juicy and structured wine. Bold tannins combine with black-currant flavors to give a ripe wine, equally solid with fruit and tannin. It should develop well, bringing out fruit and smoothing the texture. Drink now through 2040.  4. Railsback Frères Cabernet Sauvignon Roman Ceremony Santa Ynez Valley 2021 - This is "Old School" Cali Cab - deliciously juicy, balanced, and bright! The Railsback brothers rely greatly on the terroir of the vineyard site within Happy Canyon, which is located at the eastern front of the Santa Ynez Valley. The vineyards in this area tend to be alluvial influenced with Franciscan formation sediments and studded with Serpentinite (California's state rock.) Early harvest, neutral oak, and a gentle touch result in a balanced and beautiful wine that won't knock you out! (Under 13.5% abv) Loads of red berries and currant laced with a touch of spice and fine tannins - Made in SPRING specifically to be early, fresh, and approachable.
