Our 1945 P-51D named Charlotte's Chariot II is ready to put a check on your Bucket List! Learn the story of WWII Fighter Pilot Cary Salter & his beloved Charlotte, and the answer to the big question, “WHY THE PI” , at the Southern Heritage Air Foundation where you’ll take your ride. Take to the skies in this piece of history or buy a ride for someone as a gift! This is the ride of a lifetime for many! (This ride is deemed a high intensity ride) Important Info Bookings will be based on plane and pilot availability so have several dates in mind when you email. REQUIREMENTS FOR RIDERS: The rider must be at least 12 years of age and physically able to climb in and out of the aircraft under their own power. All riders must sign a Hold Harmless Waiver (riders between 12 and 17 must have the waiver signed by a parent or guardian.) Notes: Arrive 15 – 30 minutes prior to ride for your briefing with the Pilot, and waiver signing. PROVIDED: Ear Protection - Head set (provided or bring your own).
